Latino Community in Philadelphia Celebrates
26th Annual Feria del Barrio-Neighborhood Fair
What:
Serving as one of Philadelphia’s largest celebrations of Latino arts and culture, the annual Feria del Barrio brings together thousands of community residents from throughout the Greater Philadelphia region for a FREE family event featuring some of the world’s most renowned musical artists. Dozens of community agencies, corporate sponsors and vendors line the city’s historical Centro de Oro for access to the nation’s fastest growing market while children take advantage of crafts, games, and other activities.
At Feria you can find your favorite foods, artists, singers, dancers, performers; get the information you need from dozens of local agencies; get your blood pressure checked at the health area; play in the Children’s Zone; buy different products at bargain prices from over 100 local merchants or from your favorite artists; and pick up freebies or sample products from our sponsors.
In addition, as part of the Feria del Barrio tradition, an individual is recognized for his/her commitment to the community. This year Feria del Barrio’s organizing committee will present the award to Johnny Irizarry, Director of La Casa Latina at the University of Pennsylvania.
